Our Covid19 Policy is designed to protect patients and staff during the pandemic
The following measures will be implemented during the pandemic to ensure the safety of staff and patients:
- Podiatrists will follow government and Society regulations regarding covid-19
- Podiatrists will follow the GP surgery guidelines regarding covid-19
- Email confirmation of bookings will be sent to patients with specific instructions to not attend the clinic if they have symptoms, or have been in direct contact with anyone exhibiting symptoms, of covid-19 infection
- Patients are asked to leave unnecessary personal possessions, such as bags, behind
- Appointments are widely spaced to avoid patient crossover in the area
- Patients should arrive no earlier than 5 minutes before their appointment time in order to minimise time in the building
- Upon entry to the building:
- Patients should use alcohol hand gel
- Patients should don a face covering
- Patients should move directly through the building to the Oak Suite waiting area
- Patients should maintain social distancing within the building
- Upon entry to the clinic room:
- The podiatrist will confirm that the patient has not been exposed to anyone exhibiting symptoms of coronavirus
- The podiatrist will be wearing a face mask
- The podiatrist will conduct a non-contact temperature reading
- The podiatrist will use full PPE whilst administering treatment
- On treatment completion patients should return directly to the main entrance and leave the building without delay
